Kuwait’s Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah Dies at Age 91

Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, has died at the age of 91. He died in a U.S. hospital after a long illness. Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah ruled Kuwait since 2006 and was before that was a foreign minister for almost 40 years.
Sheikh Sabah’s half-brother, Kuwait Crown Prince Nawaf al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah (age 83), is expected to be named the new emir.
