Samsung Group Chairman Lee Kun-hee Dies at 78

Samsung Group Chairman Lee Kun-hee, aged 78, died at Samsung Medical Center in southern Seoul on October 25, 2020.
Lee Kun-hee had been hospitalized for over six years. Lee Kun-hee suffered a heart attack at his home in Itaewon, central Seoul, in 2014.
Lee Kun-hee helped grow this father’s small trading business into an international powerhouse. During his life, Samsung Electronics became one of the largest tech companies in the world.
According to Forbes, Lee Kun-hee was the richest person in South Korea with a net worth estimated at around US$ 21 billion.
